Welcome to Native Plant Center

The Warner Robins Native Plant Center is a collaborative initiative between Keep Warner Robins Beautiful and Georgia Military College. We are passionate about promoting the use of native plants in landscaping and gardening. We believe that native plants play a vital role in creating sustainable and vibrant ecosystems. Native plants excel in storm-water management, provide essential habitats and food sources for pollinators and wildlife, and can be seamlessly integrated into landscape designs. The Center offers educational opportunities through a Seminar series and programs for school groups. Community volunteers will participate in plant propagation, restoration of native plant habitats, and various conservation initiatives. Additionally, plant sales are held on Thursdays and Saturdays from 10:00 - 2:00 February through November, featuring native perennials, shrubs, and trees.

Founder & Owner

Ben White

Ben White is the founder and owner of the Native Plant Center. He is a professor of Biology for over 25 years. Ben has been a board member of Keep Warner Robins Beautiful for over 15 years. His involvement with the community spans across multiple organizations and many dedicated years, and still continues daily.

Resident Horticulturist

Eleanor Freeman

Eleanor is our resident botanist and horticulturist who specializes in native plants. She teaches classes here at the Native Plant Center and is also a landscape designer. She passionately works towards incorporating the beauty and necessity of native plants, one person and landscape at a time.

Head Volunteer

Donna Hunt

Donna is a former Combat Communications Officer turned Master Gardener. She enjoys volunteering at the Native Plant Center and at Robins AFB Hope Gardens. She uses the knowledge she has gained at the Native Plant Center to educate people on the value of planting natives.
